Message I'm not going to pass judgement on either party.

But i've done two large scale projects.
and they NEVER are on time or on budget.
Even with extensive planning and research.
Theres always extra parts you need to buy that you forget about. Or while your car is down, you learn of this part that can be changed easily. All these things add up to making the job harder on the person doing the work.

I am still trying to recover from my jeep project. I am on my 5th battery, I am on my 3rd rear axle and it's 8th rebuild. I've been through 2 drive shafts. My exhaust has never been right. The transmission has been rebuilt 3 times, once due to me being dumb, the other times cause I was told who to go to.

The point is, when you take on a major project, a lot more things come into play. And all the small things start to add up. And all those small things can be 'lost' in the bigger things. Then you start adding more things in the middle of a project, and all hell will break loose, or some items will get 'dropped'.

The one thing I learned in my projects, is that if somethings being way custom done, and the guys doing the work are telling you it's gonna be an extra month for fairly legitamite reasons, then wait. patiently.

I got very screwed on my Jeep.
I paid for services and parts that were NOT performed.
My life was put in danger due to weak welds, lack of rear axle support, and a 'punched' rear axle.
My only recourse is to DIY. And thats the path I am taking.
